Frequently Asked Questions​

Q. What time should I arrive at the Hard Labor Creek Park on camp day?
A. Check in is between 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm. Please arrive at the park no later than 2:00 pm to give yourself enough time to check in. Opening Ceremony starts at 4:00 pm.

 

Q. What type of clothes should I bring?
A. Light summer clothes are ideal. No tank tops please. We will be doing a short hike around the park, so hiking or tennis shoes will be needed. All participants will be provided one (1) camp t-shirt.

 

Q. What else should I bring?
A. Please bring a portable water bottle/cup for yourself. There will be water coolers on site. You may wish to bring a flash light for the camp fire. A more complete bring list will be sent via email to all registered participants a week before the camp starts.

 

Q. What is the lodging arrangement?
A. There are two (2) double size beds per bedroom and two (2) bedrooms per cabin. Six to Eight (6-8) people will be assigned to each cabin. 

 

Q. Where is Hard Labor Creek State Park?
A. Hard Labor Creek Park is just one hour drive east of Atlanta.

Q. What is the cancellation policy?
A. We apologize but there is no cancellation. If you are unable to attend the camp, your camp fee will be 
considered as a donation for the camp.

Q. Will there be medical staff on site?
A. Yes, either a nurse or a medical doctor will be on site most of the time.

 

Q. Do I have to attend all classes and activities?
A. Yes. All participants are required to participate in all activities. If you need to be absent for various reasons (such as medical reasons), please notify one of our staff members.

 

Q. Can I arrange private meetings with the Masters?
A. Yes. Please contact one of our staff members to make the arrangements.

 

Q. What type of activities will we be doing?
A. Buddhism talks, games, hiking, star gazing, camp fire and more.

 

Q. Can I participate in one or two days' activities?
A. You may register on-site for Friday and/or Saturday's activities. The cost is $45 per day with no lodging provided. Vegetarian lunch and dinner will be available to you.

Q: Will food be provided?

A.  Yes, meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) are included. All meals are completely vegetarian, and we cook with fresh, healthy ingredients. For a list of helpful resources on continuing to eat vegetarian, click here
